Bangladesh has 109.82m voters

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda has said the number of total voters now in Bangladesh is more than 109.82 million.

“Among the total 109,819112 voters, 554,82,530 are male, 543,36,222 female and 360 third gender community members,” the CEC said.

He gave the information while addressing a discussion marking the National Voters’ Day at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka on Monday, reports BSS.

Huda said the number of new voters are 69,71,470 among the total voters.

Law Minister Anisul Huq attended the discussion as the chief guest while Election Commissioners Mahbub Talukdar, Md Rafiqul Islam, Begum Kabita Khanam and Brigadier General Shahadat Hossain Chowdhury (retd.) were present on the occasion, among others.

Senior Secretary of Election Commission Secretariat Md Alamgir chaired it.
