Bangladesh, Uzbekistan to resume direct flights

Bangladesh and Uzbekistan are going to resume direct flights once again.

To this end, the cabinet approved a draft bilateral agreement during its meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain told a press conference at the Secretariat.

Based on this agreement, direct flights between Bangladesh and Uzbekistan would resume. Previously, both the countries had direct flights from 1993 to 2005, he noted.
