Bangladesh and Indian border guards have begun a four-day director general-level conference in Dhaka city.
The event began at the conference room of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) headquarters in the capital at 10.45am today (Thursday), BSS reports citing a BGB press release.
BGB Director General (DG) Major General Md Shafeenul Islam is leading a 13-member Bangladesh delegation while his Border Security Force (BSF) counterpart Rakesh Asthana is heading a six-member team in the conference.
The conference will conclude with the signing of a Joint Record of Discussions (JRD) on September 19.
Earlier on Sunday, the BGB-BSF conference was postponed as the BSF delegation could not reach Dhaka due to a technical glitch in their aircraft.
