The results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of 2020 will be released by January 28, Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam has said.
The development has come after the cabinet approved the proposed amendment to publish the results without having examinations in conditions like pandemic, he told the reporters after cabinet meeting on Monday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting virtually from Ganabhaban.
Cabinet Secretary also informed that the cabinet has approved amendments to the law of Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education to publish the results, and the parliament is expected to pass the amendment on its session to be held on January 18.
By amending this law, the government will be able to assess the country without taking physical examination in any national disaster or pandemic.
