Two vegetable traders have been killed and two others injured after a Chittagong-bound vegetable-laden truck from Comilla, hit a stationed truck in Shitalpur area on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Sitakunda upazila of Chittagong early Monday.
The accident occurring around 3:45 am left two traders dead on the spot and driver and helper injured.
The deceased were Abdur Rab (52), hailing from Barura upazila of Comilla and Siddikur Rahman (45), hailing from Chandina upazila, said Ahsan Habib, Officer-in-Charge of Baro Aulia Highway Police Station.
Police recovered the bodies and sent the inured to hospital, reports a local news agency.
