Two motorcyclists were killed when an unknown vehicle hit their motorcycle while they were heading towards Sylhet for a trip on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj district early Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Abul Bashar, 35, son of Abdul Baten of Narayanganj district, and Ashique Ahmed, 25, son of Selim Mia of Khilkhet area in the capital.
The accident occurred around 1am in front of the Saheb Bari Gate Bus Stand area when an unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle they were riding, leaving them dead on the spot, said Shubhoranjan Chakma, Officer-in-Charge of Shayestaganj Highway Police.
On information, police recovered the bodies and handed them over to the family members of the deceased.
