Eight individuals were arrested for allegedly making fake military identification (ID) cards on Wednesday.
The ISPR stated in a release that, acting on a tip-off, the Army conducted a joint operation in Bogura Sadar on January 08.
During the operation, eight individuals were apprehended from several printing shops for their involvement in creating fake military ID cards, as per local media reports.
Equipment used for the forgery, including computers, laptops, specialised printers, scanners, and other materials, was seized during the raid.
During preliminary interrogation, the detainees admitted to their crimes.
The ISPR emphasised that forging ID cards is a punishable offence and urged everyone to refrain from engaging in such unethical activities.
