Fire catches at Pankhaiya Para High School in Khagrachhari

A fire broke out at the old building of Pankhaiya Para High School in Khagrachhari district town on Sunday afternoon.

Mukul Kumar Nath, Station Officer of Khagrachhari Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the fire originated at the old building of the school in the afternoon.

On information, two firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire.

Initially, it is suspected that the fire might have originated from an electrical short circuit.

However, efforts are underway to assess the extent of the damage, said station officer Mukul Kumar.
