A twelve-year-old boy died in a road accident in Mohammadpur area of Dhaka on Monday morning, said police.
The victim was identified as Antor, who worked at a restaurant named Khulna Khabar Ghor at Tajmahol road under Mohammadpur police station.
Talking to the FE, sub-inspector of the police station Md Noyan Miah said, the restaurant boy was crushed under the wheels of a pickup van in the area while he was crossing the road, leaving him critically injured.
He was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital and then the attending doctors declared him dead.
Police, however, managed to arrest the driver and seize the van after the accident.
