A teenage boy was stabbed to death at Kalia upazila of Narail on Friday afternoon over establishing supremacy.
The deceased was identified as Azmal Fakir, 18, son of Mannan Fakir, reports UNB.
Shimul Das, second officer of Kalia Police Station, said that there had been long standing dispute between Chanchuri union chairman Sirajul Islam Hirok and former chairman Lutfar Rahman.
Following the dispute, the supporters of Hirok stabbed Lutfar’s supporter Azmal at Kaldanga village in the upazila while he was going to a local market around 5:30 pm, leaving him critically injured.
Later, he was rushed to Narail Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
