At least two persons including an auto-rickshaw driver were killed in two separate accidents on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar in the early hours of Wednesday morning, reports BSS.
"An auto-rickshaw driver died on the spot when an unidentified vehicle ran over him at Salehpur Bridge and an mentally challenged person died while a motorized vehicle hit him at Hemayetpur", said Dipak Shaha,Officer in Charge (OC) of Savar Model police station.
After receiving information, highway police have recovered the bodies.
Police identified one deceased as auto-rickshaw driver Mamun Sheikh, 50, hailed from Mansurapur village of Chatmohor upazila under Pabna district.
The identity of the other deceased is yet to be confirmed.
