Police recovered the bodies of a couple from their residence at Thana Para in Jhenaidah’s Kaliganj upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Shoilen Debnath and his wife Reba Rani.
Mohammad Hasanuzzaman, superintendent of Jhenaidah Police, said getting no response from the room till 10:00am, the neighbours peeped through the window only to see Shoilen hanging from the ceiling of his house while Reba lying on the bed.
On information, police recovered the bodies, breaking open the door and sent those to local hospital morgue, as per a UNB report.
Police suspected that Shoilen might have strangled Reba to death and killed himself.
