Detectives of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested former Awami League lawmaker from Jamalpur-1, Nur Mohammad, from the capital's Gulshan area on Saturday night.
Deputy Commissioner (Media) of the DMP Md Niaz Mehedi said Nur Mohammad is an accused in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act in Jamalpur.
He is also a suspect in a case filed over a procession and a cocktail explosion in the Mohakhali Bus Terminal area of the capital on June 18, 2026, he said.
Legal action against him is underway, the DMP official added.
