Man’s body recovered in Chuadanga

Police have recovered the body of a man in Alamdanga upazila of Chuadanga.

The family alleges that he was killed on suspicion of theft, reports bdnews24.com.

The body of the young man, named Dudu Hossain, was recovered from the Bantgach Tala area adjacent to Housepur Bridge on Sunday night, said Alamdanga Police Station chief Bani Israel.

The deceased, 25-year-old Dudu, hailed from Asannagar village in Kalidaspur union of Alamdanga.

His father, Mizanur Rahman, alleged that two days ago, three to four young men came to Dudu's house and accused him of stealing a van. At that time, they threatened Dudu and said, "If I don't find the van, I will kill you."

He claimed that those men accused Dudu of stealing the van, beat him to death and left his body behind. However, he could not provide any information about the killers.

Police Chief Bani Israel said that after receiving information from the people of the area, they recovered the body and took it to the station. The incident is being investigated seriously, he said.
