Dense fog disrupts flight operations at Saidpur airport

Flight operation in Nilphamari's Saidpur Airport was suspended due to poor visibility caused by dense fog on Sunday.

According to the airport sources, two flights of Bangladesh Biman and private company Air Astra could not land at the airport due to the visibility limit falling to 700 meters.

As a result, the flights with about 120 passengers bound for Syedpur returned to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, as per local media reports.

However, after a couple of hours, air traffic became normal as the thick fog cleared.
