Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Sunday launched an eviction drive in the city’s Mohakhali area aiming to demolish illegal shops and establishments.
A team, led by Executive Magistrate and regional executive officer Md Hemayet Hosain, conducted the drive from 12:00pm to 2:00pm and evicted 50 illegal structures, said DNCC Public Relations Officer A S M Mamun.
The illegal structures were built on the pavement from Mohakhail Community Centre to DNCC regional office, he said.
The drives will continue to dismantle the illegal establishments from the city, he added.
