Fire breaks out at cotton warehouse in Gazipur

A fire broke out at a cotton warehouse of NR Textile Mill in Porabari area of Gazipur district on Saturday morning.

Locals and workers said the fire broke out at 6:30am just after they had arrived there, reports UNB.

Mamunur Rashid, deputy assistant director of Gazipur Fire Service, said two fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after two hours of frantic efforts.

The fire might have originated from an electric short-circuit, he added.
