The injured were Jewel, 24; Shanto, 21; Haowa Akter, 40; Jahurul, 26; and Jahanara, 40 — residents of Faridpur district, UNB reports.

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Ashulia Police Station, Kamal Hossain, said the blast occurred on the second floor of a house near a garment factory in the Narsinghpur area in the morning.

Initially, they were taken to Ashulia Women and Children Hospital and later shifted to the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery as their conditions worsened, he said.
