The Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested Selina Islam, a former member of parliament from a seat reserved for women.
Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman said they arrested five individuals, including Selina Islam, and an upazila chairman, from different parts of Dhaka.
Selina Islam is the wife of former lawmaker of Lakshmipur-2 constituency Md Shahid Islam alias Kazi Papul.
