Four senior police officials, in the rank of Deputy Inspector General (DIG), have been given promotion to the post of Additional IGP.
The promotion order was issued on Monday in a circular signed by Dhananjay Kumar Das, Deputy Secretary (Police Section-1) of Public Security Division under the Home Ministry.
The newly promoted four police officers are: DIG of Anti Terrorism Unit Md. Didar Ahmed, DIG of River Police Md. Atiqul Islam, DIG of Police Headquarters M Khurshid Hossain and DIG (Barisal Range ) Md. Shafiqul Islam.
