Gas supply will be disrupted for 11 hours in parts of Dhaka and Narayanganj due to the relocation of pipelines.
The suspension will be in effect from 8am to 7pm on Thursday, Titas Gas announced in a statement, reports bdnews24.com.
The statement said that gas supply will be halted to facilitate the relocation of existing pipelines in nine canals under the Dhaka section of the DND canal excavation project, which spans both the Dhaka and Narayanganj districts.
The affected areas include Tengra, Bahir Tengra, Hajinagar, Amtala, Barabhanga, Kodaldoa, Sanarpar, Nimaikashari, Nama Shyampur, Zia Sarani, Japanese Bazar, Titas Gas Road, Chapra Mosque, Rupashi Bangla Hospital, Shonir Akhra, the RS Tower adjacent areas, Gobindpur, Matuail, Mridhabari, Kajla, Bhanga Bridge, Demra, Staff Quarters, Amulia, Paity, Zahir Steel, Shahriar Steel, Dharmik Para and Council areas.
The notice also said that gas pressure may be low in the surrounding areas during the suspension.
