Gas supply to remain suspended in parts of Dhaka for 18 hours

Gas supply will remain suspended for 18 hours in several areas of Dhaka district from 11:00 pm on Sunday (May 17) to 5:00 pm on Monday (May 18) due to gas pipeline replacement work.

The information was disclosed by the public relations division of Titas Gas on Saturday afternoon, according to local media reports.

According to Titas Gas, the shutdown will affect all categories of consumers in areas on both sides of the highway from Aminbazar DRS (District Regulating Station) to Nabinagar, including Baliarpur, Hemayetpur, the Leather Industrial Estate, Singair Road, Fulbaria, Nabinagar, Savar municipal area, Savar Cantonment, Ashulia Market, Gauripur, Kumkumari, Rajashan, Kalma and nearby localities.

The company also warned that nearby areas may experience low gas pressure during the period.

Titas Gas authorities apologised to customers for the temporary inconvenience caused by the maintenance work.
