The government is extending its assistance in different ways to form startup ecosystem for all entrepreneurs in the country, said State Minister for ICT Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Saturday.
Palak said this while addressing an event on the occasion of the launching of ‘2019 Global Women Competition Series’ at ICT Tower in the city’s Agargaon area, reports UNB.
The event was arranged by the Bangladesh chapter of ‘She Loves Tech’, a global platform committed to building an ecosystem for technology, entrepreneurship and innovation that creates opportunities for women.
Palak said only nine percent of entrepreneurs is women throughout the world. Women will have to take challenges over new ideas and solutions for being self-dependent financially, he said.
He said the digital Bangladesh of Sheikh Hasina will be inclusive so that all -- men and women -- can enjoy benefits through a common platform.
So, the state minister said, the ICT Division has taken various initiatives and is implementing those, including the construction of 28 Hi-Tech parks and incubation centres in different districts.
