A housewife was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband at Adampur village in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district on Monday night over family feud.
The deceased was identified as Nasima Akhtar (28), wife of Rafique Mia of the village.
Shamim Musa, officer-in-charge of Kulaura Police Station, said Rafique locked into an altercation with Nasima around 10:30 pm.
At one stage, he stabbed Nasima with a sharp weapon.
His mother-in-law, Monajan Begum and sister-in-law Moni Akhter received injuries while they were trying to resist him, the OC added.
On information, police rushed to the spot, a news agency reported.
Sensing the presence of law enforcers, Rafique managed to flee away the spot.
The injured were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital, the OC added.
