A 32-year-old man was killed in a road accident in front of Terminal-3 of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport under Airport Police Station on Saturday night.
The victim was identified as Ashraful Alam, from Kalni village under Joydebpur Police Station in Gazipur district, as per a UNB report.
Hasan Al Arif, a cousin of the victim, said Ashraful was riding a motorcycle around 11:15 pm when a pickup van hit him in front of the Terminal-3. He died on the spot.
Upon being informed, Hasan, with the assistance of Airport Thana police, recovered the body and took it to the emergency unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 2:15 am on Sunday after completing the necessary legal formalities.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy, said Constable Ismail of Airport Police Station, who was present at the DMCH morgue.
