Dhaka’s metro rail will extend its night service by 20 minutes from both ends of the line from Sunday, as passenger demand continues to grow.
Under the revised schedule, the last train from Motijheel to Uttara will leave at 10:30pm instead of 10:10pm, bdnews24.com reports.
The final train from Uttara North to Motijheel will depart at 9:50pm, pushed back from the previous 9:30pm schedule.
On Saturday, Metro Rail Deputy Project Director and Public Relations Officer Mohammad Ahsan Ullah Sharifi confirmed the development.
Bangladesh’s first metro rail service was officially inaugurated in Dhaka on Dec 28, 2022.
Initially, MRT Line-6 operations were limited to the Uttara North–Agargaon section.
The network has since been expanded gradually with new stations coming into service over time.
