The fire that broke out at garment factory warehouse in the city's Mirpur-14 area on Sunday afternoon was brought under control after two hours, reports UNB.
Duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence central control room Ershad said the fire originated at the storage on the 5th floor of the 10-storey building around 5:17pm.
On information, 15 firefighting units rushed in and brought the fire under control around 7:25pm, he said, adding that the fire could not spread to any other floor.
There was no report of any casualty in the fire, Ershad said.
