

A covered van has caused a multi-vehicle fatal crash in Jashore Sadar Upazila, claiming four lives and leaving one person injured.
It rammed into a battery-run three-wheeled passenger vehicle before crashing into another van on the Jashore-Khulna Highway around 11:30am on Saturday, said Masum Khan, chief of Kotwali Model Police Station, bdnews24.com reports.
Following the accident, an incensed crowd set the covered van on fire outside the Chaulia Filling Station at Rupdia under Narendrapur Union.
The dead were identified as Brishti Saha, 25, her son Shouvik Saha, 5, Aiyub Hossain, 43, and van driver Anwar Hossain, 60.
