Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, briefed Bangladesh on the diplomatic measures his country has undertaken in response to recent actions by India, Foreign Adviser Touhid Hossain said on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the adviser noted that Pakistan did not seek any assistance from Bangladesh during the phone call made by the Pakistani foreign minister on Monday night.
"I told them that Bangladesh desires peace in the region and believes that conflict will not benefit anyone," he added.
When asked whether the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had communicated with India regarding the current Indo-Pakistani tensions following the Pagelgam terrorist attack, the adviser said there had been no contact from the Indian side.
"If they reach out to us, we will convey the same message," he stated.
