Sayeed Khokon, nominated by AL for the Dhaka-6 parliamentary seat to contest the upcoming general polls, said this while addressing a discussion organised at Suritola Model Government Primary School on North South Road in Old Dhaka, said a press release.

Leaders and activists of Dhaka South Ward Number-34 unit of AL and its affiliated organisations organised the discussion, the release added.

“My beloved leader Sheikh Hasina, the worthy daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, gave me the party nomination for the Dhaka-6 seat,” Khokon said.

Mentioning that he always stood by people and the party’s grassroots leaders and workers, he said: “I will do it in the future too, Insha Allah.”

“Whether I am in power or not, I will always remain beside you,” he said.

Earlier in the afternoon, Khokon offered doa for eternal peace for the departed souls of Bangabandhu, most of his family members and Khokhon’s family members at Nazira Bazar Bara Jame Masjid in Old Dhaka.
