First part of the country first metro rail will be inaugurated on September 28 as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina finally agreed to open it on the day from Agargaon station.
Road Transport and Highways Division Secretary Amin Ullah Nuri confirmed the date through SMS saying inaugural function will be held at the Bangabandhu International Convention Centre.
Meanwhile, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader also announced the date from a party meeting in Dhanmondi in the evening.
