The Bangladesh Bridge Authority said the Padma Bridge and the Jamuna Bridge have set new records in both toll collection and vehicle movement.
According to a press release issued on Friday, the Padma Bridge witnessed a record number of vehicles and toll earnings over a three-day period from March 17 to 19, 2026.
During the period, a total of 119,682 vehicles crossed the bridge, compared to 100,802 vehicles during the same period in 2025. Toll collection from the bridge stood at Tk 132.15 million, up from Tk 120.78 million a year earlier.
Similarly, the Jamuna Bridge also recorded its highest-ever single-day traffic and toll collection on March 18, 2026.
On that day, a total of 51,384 vehicles crossed the bridge, surpassing the previous record of 48,368 vehicles in 2025. Toll collection reached Tk 35.18 million, higher than Tk 34.63 million recorded in the previous year.
