Ship carrying rice from Vietnam arrives at Ctg Port

A ship carrying a total of 20,000 tonnes of Atap rice from Vietnam has arrived at Chattogram Port.

The MV THAI BINH 09, carrying the rice under the government-to-government (G2G) agreement, docked at the port, said a press release published by the food ministry on Monday.

Earlier, on 3 February 2025, the government signed a contract to import 100,000 tonnes of rice from Vietnam.

The unloading process of the rice has already started following sample testing of the shipment.
