Six doctors of Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital were suspended after they allegedly expressed inability to treat coronavirus patients and remained absent without any prior notice.

A circular of Directorate of Health Services, signed by its Director (Admin) Dr Md Belal Hossain, made the disclosure on Saturday, report local agencies.

Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Hospital is one of the major hospitals where Covid-19 patients are being treated.

Some of the suspended doctors refused to treat infected patients, while the others remained absent for about a month.

Earlier, the hospital authorities sent a letter with the names of the doctors to the Health Ministry seeking actions against them.
