A youth has been hacked to death near the entrance of Khadimnagar National Park in Sylhet Sadar upazila, police say.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening, said Syed Anisur Rahman, chief (OC) of Sylhet Airport Police Station.
The victim, Azadur Rahman, 25, was from Bisnakandi village in Gowainghat.
Another man was critically injured in the incident, reports bdnews24.com.
OC Anisur said investigators are examining whether the attack followed a personal feud or a financial dispute.
“The victim’s body showed multiple cuts from a sharp weapon. I am going to Osmani Hospital to speak with the injured youth. Further details will be provided later,” he added.
