Earlier on Saturday, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained seven suspects linked to the same incident and recovered Tk 700 thousand which they had robbed during the robbery.
Of the detained, five were dismissed members of various security forces, while the others were civilians.
Lieutenant Colonel Munim Ferdous, director of the RAB’s law and media wing, noted that a gold bracelet, ring, and the microbus used in the robbery were also seized from the suspects.
