Adobe, the renowned software giant responsible for iconic tools like Photoshop and Illustrator, has recently introduced 'Generative Match' - a cutting-edge image-generation tool. This innovative feature is set to be incorporated into Adobe Firefly, the prompt-based AI art generator launched just this March.

What sets 'Generative Match' apart is its ability to identify the distinct art style of an uploaded image and utilise that style to generate new images, illustrations, and concept designs.

Unlike traditional AI generators that rely solely on text prompts, Adobe's latest offering allows users to upload up to 10 to 20 images as a source of inspiration for the AI, resulting in a more nuanced and personalised output.

Not limited to graphic design, Adobe envisions 'Generative Match' as a powerful tool for branding. In a demonstration, the company showcased the tool's capability by using an image of a tree with green leaves as a style reference.

The output depicted a woman's silhouette transformed into a unique symbol, seamlessly mirroring the original image's colours, aesthetics, and art style.

The tool's versatility extends to content creation, making it an invaluable asset for bloggers, social media managers, and writers. By providing simple reference images like pumpkins, witch hats, and spider webs, 'Generative Match' can effortlessly churn out images and illustrations, even creating themed fashion and apparel like a Halloween-inspired dress.

According to a report by Reuters, Ely Greenfield, Adobe's Chief Technology Officer for Digital Media, highlighted the broader applications of 'Generative Match.' The company aims to enable big brands to upload a few product or character photos and leverage generative technology to produce hundreds or even thousands of images automatically. These can be utilised across various platforms, including websites, social media campaigns, and print advertisements.
