Bangladesh have been asked to bowl first after losing the toss in the second and deciding Test against Zimbabwe at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram.

Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine won the toss and chose to bat first on a bright Monday morning, as Bangladesh, led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, look to avoid a historic series defeat.

In a bid to bounce back after their humbling defeat in the first Test, the hosts have made three changes to their playing XI. Fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib has been handed his Test debut. Anamul Haque returns to the Test fold after nearly three years, while off-spinner Nayeem Hasan has also been recalled to strengthen the spin attack.

Nahid Rana, who travelled to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is not in the squad. Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Syed Khaled Ahmed have been dropped.

Bangladesh face the prospect of losing a Test series to Zimbabwe for the first time in 21 years if they fail to win in Chattogram.

After heavy rain interruptions marred the first Test in Sylhet, conditions in Chattogram look ideal for cricket, with bright sunshine forecast for the next few days.

Young pacer Tanzim appeared upbeat before his debut, measuring his run-up and bowling a few spells during the morning warm-up.

Bangladesh XI: Shadman Islam, Anamul Haque, Mominul Haque, Najmul Hossain Shanto (captain), Mushfiqur Rahim, Jaker Ali, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Tanzim Hasan, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Hasan Mahmud.
