BCB goes to polls June 7

The schedule for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) board of directors’ election has been announced, with the vote set to be held on Jun 7 at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

This will be the second BCB election in eight months.

To contest for a director’s post at the BCB, a candidate must first be a councillor.

A total of 23 directors are elected through votes from councillors across three categories. Two additional directors are nominated directly by the National Sports Council.

The president and vice presidents are then elected through the votes of these 25 directors.
