Rajshahi Warriors clinched the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) title, beating Chattogram Royals by 63 runs, in the final match of the tournament on Friday.
The final was played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, with Chattogram opting to field first after winning the toss in the evening fixture.
In their innings, Rajshahi’s opener Tanzid Hasan smashed a scintillating century to put his side firmly in contention for a maiden BPL title.
The century powered the Rajshahi Warriors to a big 174 for 4 in the BPL final, setting a daunting 175-run target for the Chattogram Royals. In response, Chattogram lost all wickets after scoring 111 runs in 17.5 overs.
