English defender and former Spurs player, Kyle Walker-Peters, has agreed personal terms with West Ham on a free transfer, after Turkish side Besiktas pulled out of the race, BBC Sport reports.

The 28-year-old, who signed a three year contract with the Hammers, left Southampton after the expiry of his contract as the club were relegated from the Premier League last season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Besiktas were also highly interested in the signature of the former Spurs player, but the Turkish club said through their website that they have decided not to sign Walker-Peters after he delayed his medical.

Walker-Peters joined the Saints in August 2020 and made 202 appearances, scoring six goals during his time there.

The signing of Walker-Peters will be the third of the season for West Ham, after they signed Senegalese defender El Hadji Malick Diouf from Slavia Prague and made the loan move for French defender Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice permanent.
