Bangladesh Test captain Mominul Haque hit a ton in the ongoing Test against West Indies at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday.
During the 61st over of Bangladesh’s second innings in Chattogram Test, Mominul drove Rahkeem Cornwall to the off-side for a single and completed his ton. He hit nine fours to reach the magical three-figure, reports UNB.
It was 10th hundred for Mominul in Tests, and seventh at this venue. Along the way of hitting this ton, the southpaw surpassed Tamim Iqbal to become the holder of most centuries in the most prestigious format of cricket. With his seventh ton in Chattogram, Mominul joined Michael Clarke (Adelaide Oval), Mahela Jayawardene (Galle) and Kumar Sangakkara (Galle) to score seven or more centuries in one ground.
Before Mominul reached his 10th hundred, Liton Das completed his sixth fifty in Tests.
