Qatar Charity sets up Fun Zone for orphans in Bangladesh

Qatar Charity, a renowned international charity organisation, along with some other government and non-government organisations in the state of Qatar has made the World Cup Football-2022 jubilant for the hundreds of orphan children in Bangladesh by organising some fun events and month-long live screening of the matches.

The Fun Zone has been set up in two orphan care centres of Qatar Charity located in Dhamrai and Bhairab upazilas of Dhaka. The playground and auditorium have been decorated there with small and large national flags of each country participating in the World Cup.

A press release has been issued on Monday by the Qatar Charity Bangladesh Office to this end.

A friendly football match was held in Dhmrai orphan care centre last Sunday. The orphan children were divided into four teams and they played football in a festive mood.

More than eight hundred students of the Orphan Care Center enjoyed the game. They encouraged their respective teams throughout the entire period with thunderous applause.

The Fun Zone has also been set up for Rohingya refugees on Bhasanchar Island to share the joy of World Cup football where every match of the World Cup Football-2022 is shown on the big screen from two different places. Every day 6 to 7 thousand people of different ages are watching the games there.

Qatar Charity along with Qatar Fund, the Ministry of foreign affairs in the state of Qatar, Qatar Red Crescent, Supreme Committee for Delivery and legacy, and beIN Sports has organised this joyous occasion for the orphan and refugees aiming to restore normalcy to their lives and enhance social cohesion through entertainment and cultural programmes.
