Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC) leaders greeted Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam on assuming his office as the chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
“His inspiring and invaluable experience in finance, banking and insurance sector and leadership in an array of important positions in many businesses, chambers and researches related to fields at home and abroad will help take the capital market to a new height,” said Azam J. Chowdhury, president of the BAPLC in a letter.
Mr Chowdhury sent the letter to the newly-appointed chairman of BSEC Professor Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, on behalf of members of BAPLC executive committee.
He noted that this is wonderful and heartening news, and fittingly adorns his impressive track record with our national economy.
“We wish you great success in this important new leadership role”.
“We are optimistic that with your able guidance, mentoring and dynamic leadership will also help develop the equity market in Bangladesh”.
Mr Chowdhury also assured the BSEC chairman of their best possible co-operation, and would like to work together with BSEC in the coming days.
The executive committee of BAPLC is intended to meet the BSEC chief after the situations get normalized, he said.
