Square Pharmaceuticals PLC has approved a contract manufacturing agreement with C2C Pharma Ltd. to boost production capacity in response to rising demand for its products and support the launch of new medicines.
The decision was approved at a meeting of the company's board of directors held on June 28, according to a disclosure published on the stock exchanges on Monday.
Under the agreement, C2C Pharma will manufacture certain pharmaceutical products on behalf of Square Pharmaceuticals under a contract manufacturing arrangement.
The company said the move is intended to meet the growing demand for its existing products while facilitating the introduction of new products without making immediate investments in additional manufacturing facilities.
Contract manufacturing is a common practice in the pharmaceutical industry, enabling companies to expand output, optimize production capacity and accelerate product launches by utilizing third-party manufacturing facilities that comply with regulatory standards.
