The BASIS National ICT Awards will honour 105 individuals and organisations in 35 categories in the country’s ICT sector for their innovation.
A grand award ceremony will take place in this regard at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the city on Saturday.
Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud is expected to be present as the chief guest in the third edition of the event.
The announcement came at a press conference held at the auditorium of Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) with the support of IPDC Finance Limited.
BASIS president Syed Almas Kabir, vice president (Finance) Mushfiqur Rahman, and convener of BASIS National ICT Awards and BASIS director Didarul Alam were present in the programme.
On behalf of IPDC Finance Limited managing director & CEO, Mominul Islam, DMD and Head of Business Finance, Rizwan Dawood Shams, among others, attended the press conference.
BASIS received 1,175 applications this year from students to the government.
Of them, 225 have been qualified to present their projects for their innovations.
