BRAC Bank MD Selim RF Hussain resigns

Selim RF Hussain, managing director and CEO of BRAC Bank PLC, has stepped down from his position, ending a nearly decade-long tenure at the helm of the private commercial bank.

Hussain confirmed his resignation in an internal communication to employees, stating that Tuesday would be his last working day.

He has already submitted his resignation to the bank’s chairman and the board of directors, pending formalities.

During his time in office, Hussain led BRAC Bank through a period of significant growth and transformation, positioning it as one of the top financial institutions in the country.

In his farewell note, he described the experience as a “great privilege,” crediting the team for building a “role model in the banking industry.”

BRAC Bank is yet to officially announce a successor.
