A four-day-long BTKG Expo 2026 will kick off on April 29 to serve as a global platform for manufacturers, technology providers, buyers, and industry professionals to build connections, exchange ideas, and explore new business opportunities.
Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and Inforchain Digital Technology Co Ltd are jointly organising the show at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka, according to a statement.
“The exhibition will host more than 1,000 exhibitors from around 30 countries, showcasing their latest technologies, products, and innovations,” organisers said.
There will be over 1,300 booths spread across eight exhibition halls, covering an exhibition area of approximately 23,000 square metres, they said, adding this large-scale arrangement reflects the growing global interest in Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector.
The readymade garments industry has long been the backbone of Bangladesh’s economy, contributing around 12-13 per cent of national GDP and employing over 4 million workers.
Through the participation of international manufacturers, technology suppliers, and industry experts, the exhibition will introduce local manufacturers to cutting-edge production solutions, modern machinery, and the latest global trends.
This exposure will enable Bangladeshi companies to adopt new technologies, improve production efficiency, and strengthen their competitiveness in the global market, the statement added.
The expo will also create opportunities for networking and joint ventures with international buyers, suppliers, and investors, ultimately supporting the continued growth and global positioning of Bangladesh’s apparel industry,” the press statement said.
Organisers said a wide range of machinery and technological solutions related to the textile and garment value chain will be showcased at the event.
They stated that the BTKG Expo 2026 will not only strengthen Bangladesh’s position as a global apparel manufacturing hub but will also open new avenues for technological advancement, investment, and international collaboration within the textile and garment industry.
