The government has served show-cause notices on four e-commerce platforms, asking their explanations as to why they were 'creating instability' in the virtual market by announcing abnormal offers.
The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) has asked the firms - Dalalplus, Ananderbazar, Tholay and All Shopper - to submit the explanations within October 17, 2021.
The ministry also asked the platforms to provide a statement of their liabilities to the consumers and merchants concerned.
The ministry has asked the platforms to submit detail explanations also about their available assets.
Besides, it also asked to provide a future plan to make payment against their existing liabilities.
