Entrepreneurship development training held by Karmasangsthan Bank in Mymensingh

An Entrepreneurship Development Training program, organized by the Loan and Advance Department of Karmasangsthan Bank, was held on Thursday, 31 July 2025, at the Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital in Gouripur, Mymensingh.

The event was formally inaugurated by Mr. Arun Kumar Chowdhury, Managing Director of Karmasangsthan Bank, who attended as the Chief Guest, according to a media release. 

Presided over by Mr. Muhammad Masudur Rahman, Deputy General Manager of the Bank’s Dhaka Divisional Office, the training session featured Dr. Mohammad Mahbubul Alam, Additional District Livestock Officer of Mymensingh, and Professor Dr. Jayonta Bhattacharjee from the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics at Bangladesh Agricultural University, as special discussants.

Also present were Mr. Md. Saidul Islam, Regional Manager of the Netrokona region, and officials and staff of the Gouripur branch.

In his speech, Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship training not only for poverty alleviation but also for improving quality of life through employment. He stressed the importance of building a productive, self-reliant, and sustainable Bangladesh.

He urged participants to utilize their acquired knowledge for the greater welfare of society.

Ninety entrepreneurs from the livestock sector of Gouripur Upazila took part in the training.

The participants shared their concerns and received guidance on resolving various issues. They also requested that such training programs be held more frequently.
